National Holocaust Memorial Centre and Learning Service (6 March 2019)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, how much and what proportion of the cost to the public purse of the National Holocaust Memorial was as a result of payments to (a) members of staff of and (b) advisers to the UK Holocaust Memorial Foundation.

Answer

From 2015/16 to 28 February 2019, the Government has spent £5.042 million on the Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre programme. £830,000 (or 16 per cent) of this was spent on civil servant staff costs, including those staff who provide support to the UK Holocaust Foundation. There are no other paid advisers to the Foundation.
