Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, pursuant to the Answer of 3 November 2014, Official Report, column 522, what the evidential basis is for his statement that there has been very little movement of more than about five miles from people's existing homes as a result of the benefit cap.

Latest official statistics, released 6th November, show that only 1% of households who have previously been capped and which are no longer subject to the cap have moved to a different Local Authority.
