Universal Credit: Disability (15 January 2019)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, pursuant to the Answer of 11 January 2019 to Question 206466 on Universal Credit: Disability, what estimate she has made of the cost of providing information on how many people in receipt of the severe disability premium have been naturally migrated onto universal credit since 7 June 2018.

Asked by:
Marsha De Cordova (Labour)

Answer

To provide an estimate of how many people in receipt of the Severe Disability Premium have been naturally migrated onto Universal Credit since 7 June 2018, would require DWP to link together several complex datasets and take steps to assure the quality of the results. It is estimated that, owing to the time it would take to link the datasets for periods since June 2018, the cost of compiling the requested information is likely to exceed £850.
