Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many Sri Lankan asylum seekers who have been victims of torture have been removed to Sri Lanka in the last five years; and if she will make a statement.

Answer

The Home Office does not collate statistics on this matter. All information pertaining to an individuals asylum claim is recorded on their case file. The Home Office does not remove anyone unless they are satisfied that they are not at risk of persecution.
