PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Collaboration between the Liberal Party and the National Front in Hackney (No. 1) (17 April 1990)
Motion Details
That this House views with grave concern the continuing collaboration between the Liberal Party and the National Front in Hackney; notes that the former Liberal Parliamentary candidate Councillor Jeffrey Roberts collaborated with Derek Day, a prominent member of the National Front and with various criminal elements, including his own agent Philip Owen who had 90 criminal convictions and Wendy Cullinane who killed her own child and was convicted of manslaughter; notes that the current Liberal leader Councillor Colin Beadle is collaborating with National Front supporter Gary Russell; notes that Gary Russell, electoral No. 1681, of Hillcot House who has signed Beadle's nomination form as proposer for the forthcoming election in Haggerston has organised for the National Front in Hackney and written letters to Graham Williamson, a national National Front organiser, on notepaper headed, The Way Forward; Hackney National Front: Cadres/Candidates, asking for back issues of National Front news for local supporters; notes that this Nazi hoodlum is a graffiti artist and is ú1,000 in arrears with his rent and is trying to organise a rent strike to provide himself with cover; and finally notes that Gary Russell admits that he still holds National Front views.
