PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Opt Out Proposals for Bradford Hospitals (3 April 1990)
Motion Details
That this House notes that a document has been published at a cost of several thousand pounds in officers' time setting out the proposed conversion of Bradford Royal Infirmary, St. Lukes Hospital, Woodlands Orthopaedic and Bierly Hall Hospital into a trust which will create a virtual private monopoly in health services in Bradford; and condemns those involved in planning the proposal and the authors of the prospectus as the enemies within of the National Health Service motivated by selfishness and greed rather than enhancement and preservation of a publicly-owned and controlled National Health Service.
