PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
KICK RACISM OUT OF FOOTBALL CAMPAIGN (5 May 1994)
Motion Details
That this House enthusiastically endorses the initiative of the Commission for Racial Equality and the Professional Footballers Association in the second phase of the 'Kick Racism out of Football' campaign; notes the support of the Football Association, the FA Carling Premier League, The Football Trust, The Endsleigh League, FIFA, UEFA, and those 91 clubs which have committed themselves to the campaign; further notes that racial abuse and prejudice have no part to play in football; recognises that only a small minority of supporters bring the game into disrepute; and commends those clubs, players, supporters, football authorities and police who have shown by their actions and their participation that they are determined to ensure that football clubs provide grounds that are safe and welcoming to all.
