PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
CANARY WHARF (18 May 1992)

Motion Details

That this House believes the decision by Olympia and York Developments to file for protection from its creditors under Canadian and United States of America insolvency laws, and the continuing threat of Canary Wharf being placed into administration under United Kingdom insolvency legislation, represents a major setback for the Government's policies for urban regeneration; and resolves to establish a Parliamentary inquiry to reassess the future direction of policy in this area.
