PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
SHOPS (AMENDMENT) BILL (12 May 1992)
Motion Details
leave out from 'again' to end and add 'and urges the Government to reject the restrictive and bureaucratic proposals that were set out in the Shops (Amendment) Bill which simply perpetuate the anachronisms which have made the current Act so derided and unworkable and to introduce legislation which more accurately reflects the public's widely held wish to be able to shop on Sundays while at the same time ensuring full protection for all shop workers'.
