PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
SHORTFALL IN ELECTORAL REGISTRATION (5 May 1992)
Motion Details
That this House is deeply concerned about the shortfall of some 1.5 million people on the electoral register at the General Election compared to official estimates of the relevant population; believes that this shortfall is unique and is likely to have distorted both the result of the General Election and opinion poll estimates of that result; and calls upon the Home Affairs Select Committee to conduct an urgent and full investigation into this matter.
