PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
PARLIAMENTARY SCRUTINY OF THE SECURITY SERVICES (28 June 1992)

That this House notes the reports which have appeared in the Press that a limited form of parliamentary accountability of the security services has apparently been agreed to by the Government; is of the view however, that full accountability is needed and that any committee duly set up to oversee the functions of the security services should not be limited to senior Privy Councillors but include other honourable Members as well.
