HEALTH AND SAFETY IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY (28 June 1992)
Motion Details
That this House is alarmed at the appalling health and safety record in the construction industry; calls on the Health and Safety Executive in Britain to notify all local authorities who the contractors are, that are guilty of gross negligence as far as health and safety at the work place is concerned; calls for sentences of imprisonment where gross negligence is proven, especially where there has been loss of life; supports more funding for factory inspectors; and gives wholehearted support to the European Year for Health and Safety.
