PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ANIMAL TESTING 0F COSMETICS (24 September 1992)
Motion Details
That this House believes that the suffering caused to animals in the testing of cosmetics products and ingredients is not justified by the development of new products; notes that the EC Council of Ministers will vote during the United Kingdom presidency on a resolution to prohibit cosmetic products or ingredients being marketed in the EC if animal tested after 1st January 1998; and calls on the Government to vote in favour of the resolution and to use its influence to secure the support of Britain's European partners.
