PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
JOB LOSSES AT DELCO ELECTRONICS,KIRKBY (26 November 1992)
Motion Details
That this House notes with grave concern and alarm the announcement of 274 job losses at Delco Electronics in Kirkby; further notes that the workforce signed a flexibility agreement as recently as May of this year in return for assurances over future job security and that there has been only one strike at the factory in 31 years; notes that this will add further unemployment in an area which already has one of the highest rates of unemployment in Britain; and calls on the company to reconsider this disastrous decision.
