PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
CONDUCT OF THE HONOURABLE MEMBER FOR LIVINGSTON (25 November 1992)
Motion Details
That this House deplores the conduct of the honourable Member for Livingstone in making wild and unfounded allegations about Government Ministers in the Matrix-Churchill case; is gravely concerned that he has now cast gross aspersions on the independence of Lord Justice Scott by stating that the judge will be obliged to negotiate with the Government before publishing his conclusions; and calls on the honourable Member to respond to calls for him to make a full personal statement and unqualified withdrawal of these allegations, and to bring any genuine evidence which he has to the attention of this independent inquiry.
