PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Buchenwald Exhibition (10 June 1990)
Motion Details
That this House notes that, 45 years ago, Prime Minister Winston Churchill instructed a Parliamentary delegation to 'find out the truth' about Nazi atrocities at the newly-liberated Buchenwald camp, that the delegation published a report on their return home ending with the words: 'The memory of what we saw and heard at Buchenwald will haunt us ineffaceably for many years', that a contingent of British prisoners, including Wing Commander Yeo-Thomas, were interned at Buchenwald; and pays its tribute to all the survivors of Buchenwald living in the United Kingdom today.
