PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
HEDGEROW PROTECTION (25 January 1993)
Motion Details
That this House is concerned that some 50,000 miles of hedgerow have disappeared in Britain since 1984, with an estimated further 2,000 miles being lost every year; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to recognise that hedgerows perform vital functions and therefore require statutory protection and adequate levels of funding for their maintenance, improvement and expansion.
