Motion Details
That this House expresses deep concern about the decision of Smith & Nephew to stop the manufacture of denim and cotton spinning at its plants in Pendle with the loss of 574 jobs, a cut in the workforce of almost one half; notes that this decision will mean the end of denim production in the United Kingdom; and calls upon the company urgently to reconsider its decision.
