PENSIONERS' TELEVISION LICENCES (13 January 1993)
Motion Details
That this House recognises the valuable contribution made to the well being of the United Kingdom over many years by senior citizens; furthermore notes that many of Britain's pensioners will find the television licences priced at ú82.88 from April an expensive price to pay; and therefore calls upon the Government to exempt pensioners form the television licence fee with effect from 1st April.
