PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
LIFE FOR KIDNEY PATIENTS (17 December 1992)
Motion Details
That this House, concerned at the significant number of individuals suffering kidney failure who are condemned to death each year through the non-availability of suitable donor organs for transplant, calls on Her Majesty's Government to introduce legislation to make possible the use of organs of those who have died, to give life to others, unless they have specifically opted out by carrying a 'non-Donor Card' or by personally, or through their relatives, making clear that their organs are not to be used.
