PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
EUROPEAN YEAR OF OLDER PEOPLE (17 December 1992)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes the fact that 1993 is the European Year of Older People and Solidarity Between Generations; notes that the United Kingdom has adopted four themes for the Year: combating ageism, health promotion and active leisure, volunteering, and removing barriers to social and enviromental integration; believes that the Year represents an important opportunity to highlight both the contribution that older people make to society and the difficulties that many face; and invites honourable and Right honourable members to play their full part in ensuring the success of the Year.
