BAIL AND PROBATION HOSTELS (10 December 1992)
Motion Details
That this House welcomes the decision of the Home Secretary last February to expand the number of bail and probation hostel places by 800 in England and Wales; notes the concern that increased levels of violent incidents in existing hostels have increased the levels to which residents and staff at these hostels and the outside community are exposed; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to conduct an urgent inquiry into all operational aspects of bail and probation hostels with emphasis on health and safety issues.
