ASBESTOS-RELATED DISEASES (17 February 1993)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates the Asbestos Action Groups of Merseyside, Clydeside and Humberside (Hull) in joining forces to campaign on behalf of the victims of asbestos related diseases; welcomes the call made for immediate steps to be taken by the Secretary of State to amend the regulations that create a minefield for those men and women suffering from asbestos related diseases in progressing their claims for compensation; further supports the demand for a United Kingdom ban on the use of asbestos; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to support an international ban on the use of all asbestos.
