DARWEN BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S CLUB (17 February 1993)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates the Darwen Business and Professional Women's Club on its initiative in producing a badge for International Women's Day on 8th March 1993, and on the Club's support to help women in the health and educational fields to achieve; calls upon all women to wear the Darwen Business and Professional Women's Club badge with pride, in the knowledge that they are helping women of the world; recognises that the promotion of women to public positions is essential if the needs of women are to be given sufficient priority; and further condemns the Conservative Party for its lack of commitment to ensure that women are properly represented in the House of Commons.
