PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
HOSPITAL WAITING LISTS (10 February 1993)
Motion Details
That this House deplores the fact that hospital waiting lists reached 976,789 in December and following cancellations of operations and bed closures now stand at one million people waiting for treatment; notes that this is a record rise; notes the statement made on 5th February by the Home Secretary that until the Conservative Government introduced management none had existed in the NHS; and concludes that with management like this the NHS desperately needs to be run by people who really believe in it.
