WESSEX REGIONAL HEALTH AUTHORITY RISP PROJECT (No. 3) (15 March 1993)

Motion Details

That this House notes the conclusions of the District Auditor regarding the Wessex RISP project; further notes that Wessex has decided not to pursue legal action against IBM, and has not yet initiated court action against CSL, WIS or CFM; and notes that court action would severely embarrass the Chairman of the Regional health Authority, Sir Robert Buchanan, expose the Department of Health to criticism, and expose the links between Wessex Regional Health Authority and major computer companies; believes that it is not acceptable for the Department of Health to leave such decisions to Wessex RHA; and calls for an independent review of the Regional Health Authority's actions.
