Motion Details

That this House recognises World Aids Day on Wednesday 1 December; highlights the difficulty those with HIV/Aids face during the covid-19 pandemic at home and abroad; notes in particular the needs of countries like Eswatini who have the highest prevalence of HIV among adults aged 15 to 49 in the world at 27.2 per cent; and urges the Government to increase aid to provide assistance to those countries with high rates of HIV/Aids and low rates of covid-19 vaccination as a matter of urgency.
