PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh (9 November 2020)

Motion Details

That this House expresses deep concern regarding the current tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia; echoes the United Nations Secretary General’s calls for maximum restraint, as a full conflict between those two countries would be disastrous; urges both sides to respect the ceasefire and work together with the OSCE Minsk Group to secure a peace deal; calls on the Government to support efforts to provide humanitarian aid to civilians affected by that conflict and to promote and protect human rights and the rule of law in that region.
