70th anniversary of the Llandow Air Disaster (3 March 2020)

Motion Details

That this House notes that 12 March 2020 marks the 70th anniversary of the Llandow Air Disaster in Wales; further notes that the flight concerned was for rugby union fans returning home from the Five Nations game between Ireland and Wales; commends efforts, including a service being held by Cwmbran Community Council in Torfaen, to commemorate the 80 people, passengers and crew, that tragically lost their lives; notes the effect of the events on the three survivors; commends the heroism of those involved in the rescue operation; and undertakes never to forget all those who have been killed, injured or otherwise affected by aviation accidents.
