PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Industrial action by the University and College Union (25 February 2020)

Motion Details

That this House believes all staff working in higher education deserve fair and equal pay, secure contracts, reasonable workloads and affordable pensions; notes that members of the University and College Union (UCU) are currently engaged in 14 days of strike action at 74 UK universities in disputes over pensions, pay and working conditions; further notes with concern that the employers have so far failed to bring forward an offer in either dispute that fully addresses the concerns of staff; and calls on the Government to work with both the employers and the trade unions to seek a resolution to the disputes as soon as possible.
