CONSERVATIVE PARTY FINANCES (No.2) (9 May 1993)

That this House condemns Asil Nadir's breach of bail; notes he was responsible for contributing ú1.5 million to the Conservative Party, at least ú440,000 of which was donated without any disclosure in company accounts, and which Baroness Thatcher described as 'marvellous encouragement'; congratulates Business Age on its recent expose of the unexplained ú71 million donated to the Conservative Party over the past eight years; and urges the Conservative Party to produce accurate accounts immediately, so that the people of Britain can see exactly whose money has paid for the last three Conservative General Election campaigns.
