PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
LICENSING FEES FOR SPORTS CLUBS (23 November 2004)

Motion Details

That this House notes the undertakings given by Ministers during the passage of the Licensing Act, with regard to licensing fees for sports clubs; contrasts this with the assessment of the Central Council of Physical Recreation which states that the proposed licensing fees will have a disastrous impact on community sports; and urges the Secretary of State to take urgent action to cap both the initial and the annual fee to prevent increases that many small community clubs will be unable to afford.
