PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
World Cancer Day and less survivable cancers (14 January 2020)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes World Cancer Day on 4 February 2020 and supports efforts to tackle the six less survivable cancers; recognises these six common cancers of the liver, stomach, pancreatic, brain, lung and oesophageal make up half of all common cancer deaths, despite making up only a quarter of cases; further recognises that these cancers are twice as likely to be diagnosed late compared to other cancers; and supports the efforts of members of the Less Survivable Cancers Taskforce, NHS staff and medical researchers to close the deadly cancer gap.
