PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Timetable for the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Bill (23 October 2019)
Motion Details
That this House calls on the Government, if it is granted a flexible extension to Article 50 by the European Union, to work to a 14-day timetable for passing the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Bill, and to bring to an immediate end the flexible extension as soon as the Bill receives Royal Assent; believes that, given the difficulties hon. Members have found in implementing the majority of voters' wishes in the referendum that took place in 2016, a second referendum is not an available solution; and believes further that, by securing an orderly withdrawal from the European Union the passage of the Bill will help the United Kingdom avoid the potentially damaging consequence of withdrawing without an agreement.
