2019 ITUC GLOBAL RIGHTS INDEX UK RATING (9 July 2019)

Motion Details

That this House notes the UK is rated by the International Trade Union Confederation Global Rights Index as a Regular Violator of Rights, category three, which is among the worst in Europe; expresses grave concern at the finding that the Government and employers are regularly violating workers' rights or failing to guarantee them; and calls on the Government to undertake a comprehensive review of workers’ rights to enhance the role of collective bargaining in the workplace.
