ACCESSIBILITY FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE (9 June 2019)

Motion Details

That this House recognises there should be no barriers for visually impaired people accessing buildings and transport; notes that visually impaired people should be able to navigate towns and cities independently; understands that clear streets and accessible transport are integral to the independence of visually impaired people; calls on the Government to work with local authorities to make towns and cities more accessible for visually impaired people; and further calls on the Government to increase funding for local authorities to improve provision visually impaired people.
