PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
SAVE SCOTLAND'S RAINFORESTS (21 May 2019)

That this House thanks the Atlantic Woodland Alliance for their campaign to save Scotland’s rainforests; notes that there are only 30,325 hectares left across Scotland; recognises the rainforest’s importance due to them containing a variety of rare species; further notes the negative impact climate change and air pollution is having on these forests; regrets that 50 per cent of the forests have been destroyed and fragmented; and hopes the rainforests will improve in size and condition in future.
