BARCLAYS BANK LEEDS (20 March 2019)
Motion Details
That this House notes that Barclays Bank has had a major presence in the city of Leeds for over 40 years; recognises the considerable contribution to the local community that has been made by staff and management during that time; notes with dismay the recent announcement of over 300 job losses in Leeds; notes that the current office location of the remaining 600 employees will close by the end of 2021; and calls on Barclays to commit to retaining a significant presence in Leeds.
