PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
THE GREATEST DANCER (11 March 2019)

That this House congratulates 14-year-old Ellie Ferguson on winning the BBC talent show The Greatest Dancer; notes that she attends the Edinburgh Dance Academy in Corstorphine; recognises the huge amount of work that Ellie has done to reach this high level and the many of hours of practice that she has put in; also recognises the passion and talent that Ellie has for dancing and how viewers of the show have clearly resonated with these qualities; understands that her achievement means that she has earnt a spot on Strictly Come Dancing; further understands that Ellie will generously give half of her prize money to her choreographer; and wishes Ellie every possible success for her future.
