PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
SUPPORTING THE NEEDS OF MALE SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE (27 February 2019)

Motion Details

That this House commends Finlay McFarlane for the courage he has shown in waiving his anonymity to speak about his experience as a male survivor of sexual violence on BBC The Nine; notes his efforts to tackle the stigma associated with male survivors which contributes to underreporting of sexual crimes against men; and recognises his campaign to start a national conversation about the lack of service provision for male victims of such crime and applauds his efforts, along with Third Sector organisations including Stay Brave and Rape Crisis Scotland to champion the needs of male survivors and raise their visibility through the This Man Too campaign.
