PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
EATING DISORDERS AWARENESS WEEK 2019 (25 February 2019)

Motion Details

That this House notes that Monday 25 February to Sunday 3 March 2019 is eating disorders awareness week; acknowledges the work done to highlight the condition; is concerned that admissions to hospitals for potentially life-threatening eating disorders has increased dramatically in the last 12 months; expresses concern that admissions to hospital for anorexia and bulimia have doubled since 2010; and commends this year's theme of Come as You Are, which sends a message to individuals at all stages of body acceptance and eating disorders recovery that their stories are valid.
