PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
VISA APPLICATION FOR 14 YEAR OLD ANNECELINE OMONDI (28 January 2019)
Motion Details
That this House supports the Omondi family and calls on the Home Office to overturn its rejection of the visa application for 14-year-old Anneceline Omondi, daughter of Lance Corporal Denis Omondi, a serving soldier for the Royal Regiment of Scotland, 3 Scots, and her application for entry clearance; further rejects the Home Office’s application of unachievable family commitments required for serving soldiers’, as in this case; thanks Lance Corporal Omondi for his long-running and continued service to the British Army; and requests that greater flexibility is allowed, given the sacrifices made by service personnel and their families, when considering immigration applications from members of these communities.
