REFILL OXFORD AND REFILL ABINGDON (14 January 2019)

Motion Details

That this House supports the efforts of communities to establish successful schemes in towns, cities and villages across the country to allow people to fill up reusable water bottles in cafés, restaurants, shops, pubs and other public buildings for free; welcomes the reduction in single-use plastics that Refill schemes help to facilitate; commends those involved in the Refill Oxford scheme which launches on 15 January 2019 with 150 Refill stations across the city; further congratulates the volunteers from Abingdon Carbon Cutters for their work to establish an Abingdon Refill scheme; and urges the Government to support the creation and expansion of similar schemes across the country.
