PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
MEDICINAL CANNABIS (20 June 2018)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes the decision made by the Home Secretary on 16 June 2018 to provide a temporary licence to Billy Caldwell; notes that it was given on the basis of emergency medical need; further notes that it calls into question the rationality of cannabis being assigned to schedule 1; notes the professional and powerful campaigning of the group, End Our Pain; and calls on the Government to bring forward emergency legislation to change the law to allow doctors to prescribe cannabis where they consider it would help their patients and for patients to have their prescription honoured at the pharmacy.
