PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
DISABILITY EMPLOYMENT (24 October 2017)

Motion Details

That this House notes the findings published by Leonard Cheshire Disability, as part of its Untapped Talent campaign on disability employment, that 60 per cent of young disabled people said they did not receive the right support in order to move towards employment; encourages the Government to do more to support disabled people on their journey to independence through work or volunteering; urges the Government to set out clear actions in order to achieve this; considers it vital that the Access to Work scheme is better publicised; and commends the work of Leonard Cheshire Disability and others in highlighting this issue.
