PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
CURRENCY CHARGES (17 October 2016)

That this House notes recent reports of significant overcharging at money exchanges and bureaux de changes, particularly at airports where it appears that some companies, taking advantage of current currency fluctuations, are charging rates of between 15 and 25 per cent more than market rates for pound to euro exchanges; condemns such practices; and calls for the publication of the names of the firms engaged in such activities in order that the public can avoid, where possible, doing business with them.
