PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
SOUTH KOREAN DOG MEAT TRADE (11 September 2016)

Motion Details

That this House is appalled that in South Korea, the venue for the 2018 Winter Olympics, millions of dogs a year are farmed for human consumption, during which time they are kept in appalling conditions in tiny, barren wire cages and exposed to extreme temperatures before being cruelly killed by electrocution for the food market; and calls on the Government to condemn such practices and work to help end this vile trade which has no place in any civilised society.
