SEND MY FRIEND TO SCHOOL CAMPAIGN (11 July 2016)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates the pupils and teachers of St. Vincent's RC School, Norden for their continuing work on the 'Send My Friend to School' campaign; further congratulates them for their inspiring school assembly which highlighted the 37 million children missing school in crisis-affected countries; notes the 124 million children who are out of school around the world; further notes the Sustainable Developmental Goal of providing education for all, up to the age of 15, by 2030; understands that at the current rate of progress it will be 2086 before every child is in school; and calls on the Government to work with other world leaders in the goal to achieve education for all.
