PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
THE HOUSE OF LORDS AND THE OUTCOME OF THE EU REFERENDUM (28 June 2016)

Motion Details

That this House notes the arguments of Vote Leave during the EU referendum process around the importance of democracy and the electorate holding decision-makers to account; further notes that as part of the UK's withdrawal from the EU both Houses of Parliament will have a significant say on many of the policy areas subject to the EU decision-making process and therefore to maintain the democratic arguments pursued by Vote Leave; and calls on Ministers to bring forward a timetable for abolishing the House of Lords as part of the Brexit process.
