PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
INAUGURAL FLIGHT FROM DUNDEE TO AMSTERDAM (13 June 2016)

That this House celebrates the inaugural flight that took off from Dundee Airport to Amsterdam Schipol in May 2016; congratulates everyone involved in campaigning for the maiden flight; notes that this route will not only provide the people of Dundee and the surrounding areas with more options for international travel, but that it will bring additional benefits to the city and wider region in terms of business opportunities and attracting further investment into the local economy and universities, as well as giving business travellers and holidaymakers fast and convenient links to hundreds of destinations worldwide; considers that this flight will have a transformational impact on Dundee; and further notes that it is part of a wider set of projects designed to regenerate the ambition and vision of the city as a whole.
